London burning

Riots

We’ve all had a tough time since 2008.  We all hoped things were improving.  The recession was meant to be over.  2012 was meant to be a growth year.  Perhaps not.

Lee and I travelled into London today to sign a lease for our new space.  We left home with such excitement but arrived at the train station and saw images in the news of London burning.  Rioting, looting, beatings, people jumping from windows of flats to escape burning to death and leaving everything behind.  Children as young as 7 responsible.  In the UK?

Of course the politicians are trying to manipulate the situation.  Budget cuts are to blame.  The youth are rebelling.  Really?  What is the truth?  Is there a truth?

On the back of the riots, the US debt has been downgraded and the stock markets are crashing yet again.

For us, despite all the sad news, we did secure our space and are thankful.  We would love to hear your views.
